An Essential Guide to Coach Bags
Set up in 1941, Coach originally produced men’s small leather goods, and women’s handbags came later and eventually became the mainstay of the brand. These days, coach handbags range from structured shoulder bags and relaxed hobos to satchels, carryalls, crossbodies and archive reissues. Line by line, this guide sets out what each key bag is, when it arrived and how it is built. A launch date is given only when it is documented, and several popular lines come without a reliable launch year on record.
Instead of coming from an official price list, the prices below are observed market prices from 2026, and size, material and promotions all move them up or down. Similar names can label quite different designs, which is worth knowing when picking your first coach bag. Some shoppers search for a Coach bag by typing “couch bag”, which can bring listings for furniture into the results, as the word also stands for a sofa.
Tabby
Designed as a structured shoulder bag with detachable straps and Signature “C” hardware, the Tabby works just as well crossbody. Stuart Vevers introduced it in 2019, basing it on a form from Coach’s 1970s archive. Its debut campaign, named “Dream It Real”, is reported to have been shot by Juergen Teller. Offered under the main product name Tabby Shoulder Bag, it has been listed in sizes 20, 26 and 36.
Next, in 2021, the padded Pillow Tabby followed, offered under names such as Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 With Pillow Quilting. On the US market the Tabby 26 was observed at $475, and in the UK at £475, with quilted and special-edition versions listed above it. Shoppers who want one bag for daytime and evening use coach outlet online will find it suits them, because it moves easily between shoulder and crossbody wear.
The Brooklyn Line
The Brooklyn is a slouchy coach shoulder bag in natural-grain leather, far nearer to a hobo than to the structured Tabby. Its release came in August 2024, after its appearance on the Fall 2024 runway. Two main sizes have been reported, the Brooklyn 28 and the bigger Brooklyn 39. Billed as roomy enough for a 15-inch laptop, the 39 is a practical choice for work.
A newer Brooklyn Carryall shape was reported for Spring 2026, and it is a separate bag from the shoulder styles. At John Lewis in the UK, the Brooklyn 28 had an observed price of £350. The Brooklyn was among the bags cited after The RealReal’s 2025 resale report said searches for Coach had risen 160%. That figure, it should be noted, counts searches rather than resale prices.
The Rogue
The structured satchel in Coach’s range is the Rogue, built with top handles and a shoulder strap. It made its debut on the Fall 2016 runway, was later discontinued and came back in a 2021 relaunch. At the upper end of Coach’s leather range, the line includes versions in regenerative leather and exotic skins. The highest Coach bag price observed in 2026 belonged to a Rogue 25 in alligator, observed at $8,000.
Coach also provides a Made-to-Order Rogue, which has reportedly taken roughly 12 weeks, or close to 16 weeks with exotic materials. Coach (Re)Loved, the brand’s own repair and resale program, has carried restored Rogue bags. For many collectors, the Rogue shows how far upmarket Coach craftsmanship can go.
The Empire Carryall Family
Sold as the Empire Carryall Bag 34, the Empire Carryall is a long, east-west top-handle bag. After appearing on Coach’s Fall 2024 runway, it arrived in February 2025. As the fashion press reported, it sold out on the day of its release. Softer styles, named Soft Empire and including a Soft Empire 40, are distinct from the structured Carryall 34.
The Empire Carryall 34 was observed at £475 on Coach’s own online store in the UK. Its long top-handle shape renders it a smarter alternative to a coach tote bag for everyday carrying. Anyone comparing listings should check the number after the name, since 34 and 40 are different bags.

The Kisslock Family: Frame, Dreamer and Barrel
Inspired by vintage coin purses, the frame clasp named Kisslock is a motif Coach links to the Bonnie Cashin era. Take care not to mix up the separate bags that share the name. Observed at $350, the Kisslock Frame Bag in glovetanned leather was reported as the opening look of the Fall 2026 show. The family may predate that show, as earlier Kisslock Frame versions also appear in listings.
Featuring quilted nappa leather and rivets, the Kisslock Dreamer 21 is an older style, now seen largely as restored or upcrafted pieces through Coach (Re)Loved. The Kisslock Barrel Bag is a Spring 2026 Coach Originals reissue drawn from a 1973 design. The name found yet another use after a Kisslock Backpack was also shown for Fall 2026.
Swinger, Swing Zip and The Coach Originals
Made up of newly made reissues of archive designs, The Coach Originals sells bags that are new rather than vintage. According to Coach, the original Swinger design dates from 1987; it is a short-strap, zip-top shoulder bag with a turnlock. The version on sale now is the Swinger Bag 20, which also comes With Chain and in Signature canvas or jacquard. The two names are not interchangeable: the Swing Zip is a separate Coach Originals bag, based on a 1998 design.
Other Originals reported in early 2025 featured the Safari Bag from 1968, the Dinky from 1974 and the Hamptons Hobo from 2005. The Coach Originals name was reportedly already in use by 2020. The line suits buyers who want an archive look without the wear of a genuinely vintage piece.
Soho Decoded: Bag 25, Flap and Sneaker
Spanning three different products, Soho is among the most confusing names in the Coach catalog. The original Soho Flap goes back to 2006. Rather than being that 2006 bag, the Soho Bag 25 is a more compact, newer reissue, made in materials such as glovetanned leather, patent leather and crystal jacquard. Soho styles are part of The Coach Originals, and a Soho Flap Bag in regenerative leather has also been offered.
Set apart from the bags, the Soho Sneaker is footwear Coach has showcased in 2025 and 2026, and it sits with shoes and coach clothing rather than handbags. Adding “Bag 25” or “Flap” to a search makes it easier to separate the bags from the shoe. Since no reliable current price for the Soho bags was captured, visit Coach’s own website before making a purchase.
Willow, Cassie and Juliet
None of these three lines has a documented launch year, well known as they are, so treat with caution any date you see online. Willow is a pebble-leather family that has included the Willow Tote 24, a Willow Bucket and a Willow Shoulder bag. The Willow Tote 24 is a straightforward example of a coach tote bag, while Coach’s own website has also offered a Custom Willow Tote. Cassie is a crossbody and top-handle family, including the Cassie Crossbody Bag 19 fitted with a Signature turnlock and interchangeable straps.
Coach’s own website still lists Cassie styles under newer style codes. Sold in versions such as the Juliet Shoulder Bag 25 and the Pocket Juliet Bag 30, Juliet is a slouchy shoulder bag in glovetanned leather. Availability changes from season to season, so verify whether a given Willow, Cassie or Juliet style is still current before acting on an older review.
All the Lines at a Glance: Observed Prices
The table below gathers the main lines with their shape, key date and an observed 2026 price where one was reliably captured. A bag’s size, material, color and promotions all affect these prices, which are observed market prices instead of an official Coach price list. Sales tax is excluded from US prices, but VAT is included in UK prices. In sale periods, full-price styles can be marked down; at the same time, a coach outlet runs its own promotions on outlet styles.
Physical outlet stores and an official online outlet section on Coach’s own website together make up Coach Outlet, and this is Coach’s own official channel. Coach’s head of investor relations, quoted in 2014, indicated that roughly 85% of outlet merchandise was made specifically for the outlet channel. Tapestry has since talked about bringing some full-price collection product into outlets, and that number is dated. A full-price coach store or Coach’s own website remains the place to look for current-season lines.
